IS IT SAFE TO SEND FRAMED PICTURES BY POST?

We have been sending framed pictures by post very successfully for a number of years. Bubble wrap is used for the first protective layer. Then the picture is 'framed' again with a purpose made foam edging. Next a layer of double corrugated cardboard is attached to each side. Finally, it is wrapped in brown paper and securely taped. A bold 'FRAGILE' tape encircles the parcel to alert handlers to the nature of the contents.
